Salmo de David. Para o diretor do coro.

1 Que o SENHOR te ouça quando estiveres angustiado. Que o nome do Deus de Jacob te proteja. 2 Que te envie o seu socorro, desde a sua santa morada em Sião. 3 Que ele se lembre de todas as tuas ofertas e aceite os teus holocaustos em sua honra. (Pausa) 4 Que te conceda o que deseja o teu coração e cumpra todos os teus planos. 5 Haveremos de nos alegrar com a tua vitória, e em louvor do nome do nosso Deus levantaremos as nossas bandeiras. Assim, o SENHOR responda a todos os teus pedidos. 6 Eu sei que o SENHOR salva o seu ungido. Ele o ouvirá desde o céu, desde a sua santa casa, e responderá com a força salvadora da sua mão direita. 7 Há quem confie em exércitos e nos seus cavalos, mas nós confiaremos no nome do SENHOR, nosso Deus. 8 Outros são batidos e caem vencidos; nós levantamo-nos e ficamos de pé. 9 Dá a vitória ao nosso rei, SENHOR, e ouve a nossa oração!

Trust in the Name of the Lord Our God

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you! 2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion! 3 May he remember all your offerings and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! 4 May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! 5 May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions! 6 Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. 7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. 8 They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. 9 O Lord, save the king! May he answer us when we call.
