Tränen und Jubel

1 Ein Lied für den Aufstieg zum Tempel. Als Jahwe die Gefangenen Zions befreite, / da waren wir wie Träumende. 2 Da war unser Mund mit Lachen erfüllt / und unsere Zunge mit Jubel. / Damals sagte man unter den Völkern: / „Jahwe hat Großes für sie getan!“ 3 Ja, Großes hat Jahwe für uns getan! / Und wie glücklich waren wir! 4 Jahwe, wende auch jetzt unser Geschick, / so wie du im Negev die Bäche mit Wasser füllst. 5 Wer mit Tränen sät, / wird mit Jubel ernten. 6 Weinend trägt er den Saatbeutel hin, / doch mit Jubel bringt er die Garben heim.

Restore Our Fortunes, O Lord

1 A Song of Ascents. When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream. 2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” 3 The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad. 4 Restore our fortunes, O Lord, like streams in the Negeb! 5 Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! 6 He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.
