1The fool* says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no-one who does good.2The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.3All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no-one who does good, not even one.4Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call on the Lord.5But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous.6You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the Lord is their refuge.7Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

1Nebunul* zice în inima lui: „Nu există Dumnezeu!“ Toți s‑au pervertit, săvârșesc fapte scârboase; nu mai este nimeni care să facă binele.2DOMNUL Își pleacă privirea din ceruri peste fiii omului, ca să vadă dacă există vreunul care să aibă înțelepciune, vreunul care să‑L caute pe Dumnezeu.3Toți s‑au rătăcit, cu toții au devenit corupți! Nu mai este nimeni care să facă binele, nimeni, niciunul măcar!4Oare n‑au cunoștință, toți cei ce săvârșesc nelegiuirea, cei ce‑Mi mănâncă poporul așa cum mănâncă pâinea și nu‑L cheamă pe DOMNUL?5Chiar acolo unde sunt se vor îngrozi foarte tare, căci Dumnezeu este cu generația dreaptă.6Râdeți voi de planul celui sărac, dar DOMNUL este adăpostul lui!7O, de ar veni din Sion izbăvirea lui Israel! Când DOMNUL va aduce înapoi captivii poporului Său,* să se înveselească Iacov și să se bucure Israel!
