Psalm 114 | New International Version

1 When Israel came out of Egypt, Jacob from a people of foreign tongue,

2 Judah became God’s sanctuary, Israel his dominion.

3 The sea looked and fled, the Jordan turned back;

4 the mountains leaped like rams, the hills like lambs.

5 Why was it, sea, that you fled? Why, Jordan, did you turn back?

6 Why, mountains, did you leap like rams, you hills, like lambs?

7 Tremble, earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

8 who turned the rock into a pool, the hard rock into springs of water.

Gottes Wunder beim Auszug aus Ägypten

1 Als Israel aus Ägypten zog, das Haus Jakob aus dem fremden Volk,

2 da wurde Juda sein Heiligtum, Israel sein Königreich.

3 Das Meer sah es und floh, der Jordan wandte sich zurück.

4 Die Berge hüpften wie die Widder, die Hügel wie die jungen Schafe.

5 Was war mit dir, du Meer, dass du flohest, und mit dir, Jordan, dass du dich zurückwandtest?

6 Ihr Berge, dass ihr hüpftet wie die Widder, ihr Hügel, wie die jungen Schafe?

7 Vor dem Herrn erbebe, du Erde, vor dem Gott Jakobs,

8 der den Felsen wandelte in einen See und Gestein zur Wasserquelle!
