Psalm 24 | New International Version

Of David. A psalm.

1 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;

2 for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.

3 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?

4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.*

5 They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Saviour.

6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.**

7 Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.

10 Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty – he is the King of glory.

Einzug ins Heiligtum

1 Ein Lied Davids. Dem HERRN gehört die ganze Erde mit allem, was darauf lebt.

2 Er hat sie fest gegründet über dem Wasser und ihre Fundamente auf den Grund des Meeres gelegt.

3 »Wer hat Zutritt zum Berg des HERRN? Was für Menschen dürfen den heiligen Boden betreten?«*

4 »Nur Menschen, die unschuldige Hände haben und ein reines Gewissen. In ihren Herzen gibt es keine Falschheit, von ihren Lippen kommt nie ein Meineid.

5 Der HERR wird sie segnen und ihnen Hilfe senden, wie er es den Seinen zugesagt hat.*

6 So sind die Menschen, die nach Gott fragen und in seine Nähe kommen dürfen. So sind die wahren Nachkommen Jakobs.«*

7 »Öffnet euch weit, ihr ehrwürdigen Tore! Der König will einziehen, dem alle Macht gehört!«

8 »Wer ist dieser mächtige König?« »Es ist der HERR, der Starke und Gewaltige! Der HERR, der Sieger in jedem Kampf! –

9 Öffnet euch weit, ihr ehrwürdigen Tore! Der König will einziehen, dem alle Macht gehört!«

10 »Wer ist dieser mächtige König?« »Es ist der Herr über Himmel und Erde!* Er ist der höchste König, ihm gehört alle Macht!«
