1Praise the LORD. Praise him, you who serve the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD.2Let us praise the name of the LORD, both now and for ever.3From the sunrise in the east to the sunset in the west, may the name of the LORD be praised.4The LORD is honoured over all the nations. His glory reaches to the highest heavens.5Who is like the LORD our God? He sits on his throne in heaven.6He bends down to look at the heavens and the earth.7He raises poor people up from the rubbish heap. He lifts needy people out of the ashes.8He causes them to sit with princes. He causes them to sit with the princes of his people.9He gives children to the woman who doesn’t have any children. He makes her a happy mother in her own home. Praise the LORD.

Lobet, ihr Knechte des HERRN, lobet den Namen des HERRN!2Gelobt sei der Name des HERRN von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!3Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang sei gelobet der Name des HERRN!4Der HERR ist hoch über alle Völker; seine Herrlichkeit reicht, so weit der Himmel ist.5Wer ist wie der HERR, unser Gott, der oben thront in der Höhe,6der niederschaut in die Tiefe, auf Himmel und Erde;7der den Geringen aufrichtet aus dem Staube und erhöht den Armen aus dem Schmutz,8dass er ihn setze neben die Fürsten, neben die Fürsten seines Volkes;9der die Unfruchtbare im Hause wohnen lässt, dass sie eine fröhliche Kindermutter wird.
