Psalm 131 | New International Reader’s Version King James Version

Psalm 131 | New International Reader’s Version

A song for those who go up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord. A psalm of David.

1 LORD, my heart isn’t proud. My eyes aren’t proud either. I don’t concern myself with important matters. I don’t concern myself with things that are too wonderful for me. 2 I have made myself calm and content like a young child in its mother’s arms. Deep down inside me, I am as content as a young child. 3 Israel, put your hope in the LORD both now and for ever.

King James Version
1 A Song of degrees of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me. 2 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child. 3 Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever.
