Psalm 99 | New International Reader’s Version
1 The LORD rules. Let the nations tremble. He sits on his throne between the cherubim. Let the earth shake. 2 Great is the LORD in Zion. He is honoured over all the nations. 3 Let them praise his great and wonderful name. He is holy. 4 The King is mighty and loves justice. He has set up the rules for fairness. He has done what is right and fair for the people of Jacob. 5 Honour the LORD our God. Worship at his feet. He is holy. 6 Moses and Aaron were two of his priests. Samuel was one of those who worshipped him. They called out to the LORD. And he answered them. 7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud. They obeyed his laws and the orders he gave them. 8 LORD our God, you answered them. You showed Israel that you are a God who forgives. But when they did wrong, you punished them. 9 Honour the LORD our God. Worship at his holy mountain. The LORD our God is holy.

1 Der HERR ist König! Über den Kerubim ist sein Thron; die Völker zittern und die Erde bebt. 2 Der HERR ist mächtig in der Zionsstadt, ein gewaltiger Herrscher über alle Völker. 3 Sie alle sollen dich preisen, dich, den großen, Ehrfurcht gebietenden Gott! Heilig bist du! 4 Dir, dem König, gehört die Macht und du kümmerst dich um das Recht. Du hast die Regeln für unser Leben aufgestellt, in Israel* Recht und Ordnung festgelegt. 5 Rühmt den HERRN, unseren Gott! Werft euch nieder vor seinem Thron! Heilig ist er! 6 Mose und Aaron waren seine Priester, auch Samuel war unter denen, die zu ihm rufen; sie beteten zu ihm und er gab ihnen Antwort. 7 Er sprach zu ihnen aus der Wolkensäule und sie hüteten die Mahnungen und Gebote, die er ihnen anvertraute. 8 HERR, unser Gott, du hast ihre Bitten erhört: Du hast deinem Volk die Schuld vergeben, doch die Folgen seiner Taten musste es tragen. 9 Rühmt den HERRN, unseren Gott! Werft euch nieder vor seinem heiligen Berg! Der HERR, unser Gott, ist heilig!
