Berufung der Kunsthandwerker für die Stiftshütte

1 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:

2 Siehe, ich habe mit Namen berufen Bezalel, den Sohn Uris, des Sohnes Hurs, vom Stamm Juda,

3 und habe ihn erfüllt mit dem Geist Gottes, mit Weisheit und Verstand und Erkenntnis und mit allerlei Fertigkeiten,

4 kunstreich zu arbeiten in Gold, Silber, Bronze,

5 kunstreich Steine zu schneiden und einzusetzen und kunstreich zu schnitzen in Holz, um jede Arbeit zu vollbringen.

6 Und siehe, ich habe ihm beigegeben Oholiab, den Sohn Ahisamachs, vom Stamm Dan, und habe allen Kundigen die Weisheit ins Herz gegeben, dass sie alles machen können, was ich dir geboten habe:

7 die Stiftshütte, die Lade mit dem Gesetz, den Gnadenstuhl darauf und alle Geräte in der Hütte,

8 den Tisch und sein Gerät, den Leuchter von reinem Gold und all sein Gerät, den Räucheraltar,

9 den Brandopferaltar mit all seinem Gerät, das Becken mit seinem Gestell,

10 die gewirkten Kleider, die heiligen Kleider des Priesters Aaron und die Kleider seiner Söhne für den priesterlichen Dienst,

11 das Salböl und das Räucherwerk von Spezerei für das Heiligtum. Ganz so, wie ich dir geboten habe, sollen sie es machen.

Gebot der Sabbatfeier

12 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:

13 Sage den Israeliten: Haltet meine Sabbate; denn das ist ein Zeichen zwischen mir und euch von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht, damit ihr erkennt, dass ich der HERR bin, der euch heiligt.

14 Darum haltet den Sabbat, denn er soll euch heilig sein. Wer ihn entheiligt, der soll des Todes sterben. Denn wer eine Arbeit am Sabbat tut, der soll ausgerottet werden aus seinem Volk.

15 Sechs Tage soll man arbeiten, aber am siebenten Tag ist Sabbat, ein heiliger Ruhetag für den HERRN. Wer eine Arbeit tut am Sabbattag, soll des Todes sterben.

16 Darum sollen die Israeliten den Sabbat halten, dass sie ihn auch bei ihren Nachkommen halten als ewigen Bund.

17 Er ist ein ewiges Zeichen zwischen mir und den Israeliten. Denn in sechs Tagen machte der HERR Himmel und Erde, aber am siebenten Tage ruhte er und erquickte sich.

Übergabe der zwei Gesetzestafeln an Mose

18 Und als der HERR mit Mose zu Ende geredet hatte auf dem Berge Sinai, gab er ihm die beiden Tafeln des Gesetzes; die waren aus Stein und beschrieben von dem Finger Gottes.

Bezalel and Oholiab

1 Then the LORD spoke to Moses.

2 He said, ‘I have chosen Bezalel, the son of Uri. Uri is the son of Hur. Bezalel is from the tribe of Judah.

3 I have filled him with the Spirit of God. I have filled Bezalel with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skill.

4 He can make beautiful patterns in gold, silver and bronze.

5 He can cut and set stones. He can work with wood. In fact, he can work in all kinds of crafts.

6 I have also appointed Oholiab, the son of Ahisamak, to help him. Oholiab is from the tribe of Dan. ‘I have given ability to all the skilled workers. They can make everything I have commanded you to make. Here is the complete list.

7 ‘the tent of meeting the ark where the tablets of the covenant law are kept the cover for the ark

8 the table for the holy bread and its things the pure gold lampstand and everything used with it the altar for burning incense

9 the altar for burnt offerings and all its tools the large bowl with its stand

10 the sacred clothes for Aaron the priest and the clothes for his sons when they serve as priests

11 the anointing oil and the sweet-smelling incense for the Holy Room ‘The skilled workers must make them just as I commanded you.’

The Sabbath day

12 Then the LORD spoke to Moses.

13 He said, ‘Tell the people of Israel, “You must always keep my Sabbath days. That will be the sign of the covenant I have made between me and you for all time to come. Then you will know that I am the LORD. I am the one who makes you holy.

14 ‘ “Keep the Sabbath day. It is holy to you. Those who misuse it must be put to death. Those who do any work on that day must be separated from their people.

15 Do your work in six days. But the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest. You must rest on it. It is set apart for the LORD. Those who work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.

16 The Israelites must keep the Sabbath day. They must celebrate it for all time to come. It will be a covenant that lasts for ever.

17 It will be the sign of the covenant I have made between me and the Israelites for ever. The LORD made the heavens and the earth in six days. But on the seventh day he did not work. He rested.” ’

18 The LORD finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai. Then he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law. They were made out of stone. The words on them were written by the finger of God.
