Psalm 128 | King James Version New International Reader’s Version

Psalm 128 | King James Version
1 A Song of degrees. Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. 2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be , and it shall be well with thee. 3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. 4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD. 5 The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life. 6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children' children, and peace upon Israel.

New International Reader’s Version

A song for those who go up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord.

1 Blessed are all those who have respect for the LORD. They live as he wants them to live. 2 Your work will give you what you need. Blessings and good things will come to you. 3 As a vine bears a lot of fruit, so may your wife have many children by you. May they sit around your table like young olive trees. 4 Only a man who has respect for the LORD will be blessed like that. 5 May the LORD bless you from Zion. May you enjoy the good things that come to Jerusalem all the days of your life. 6 May you live to see your grandchildren. May Israel enjoy peace.
