1A Psalm of David. I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.2I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.3In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.4All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.5Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.6Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.7Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.8The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

Ich danke dir von ganzem Herzen, vor den Göttern will ich dir lobsingen.2Ich will anbeten zu deinem heiligen Tempel hin und deinen Namen preisen für deine Güte und Treue; denn du hast dein Wort herrlich gemacht um deines Namens willen.3Wenn ich dich anrufe, so erhörst du mich und gibst meiner Seele große Kraft.4Es danken dir, HERR, alle Könige auf Erden, dass sie hören das Wort deines Mundes;5sie singen von den Wegen des HERRN, dass die Herrlichkeit des HERRN so groß ist.6Denn der HERR ist hoch und sieht auf den Niedrigen und kennt den Stolzen von ferne.7Wenn ich mitten in der Angst wandle, so erquickst du mich und reckst deine Hand gegen den Zorn meiner Feinde und hilfst mir mit deiner Rechten.8Der HERR wird’s vollenden um meinetwillen. / HERR, deine Güte ist ewig. Das Werk deiner Hände wollest du nicht lassen.
