Psalm 23 | King James Version

1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name' sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

1 Herren är min herde, och därför har jag allt vad jag behöver. Han låter mig vila på gröna ängar och leder mig till källor med friskt vatten. 3 Han ger mig ständigt ny styrka till kropp och själ. Han leder mig på rätta vägar och hjälper mig leva efter sin vilja. 4 Även om jag vandrar genom dödens mörka dal, behöver jag inte vara rädd, för du finns bredvid mig, och din käpp och stav hjälper mig på vägen. 5 Du ger mig god mat mitt framför ögonen på mina fiender, ja, jag får vara din hedersgäst. Du fyller min bägare till brädden, och dina välsignelser flödar över! 6 Din godhet, vänskap och kärlek följer mig i hela mitt liv, och jag ska alltid få bo i ditt hus.
