Rescue the Weak and Needy

1 A Psalm of Asaph. God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: 2 “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? 3 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. 4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” 5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. 6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; 7 nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.”* 8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you shall inherit all the nations!

1 خدا در دادگاه آسمانی ايستاده است تا قضات را به پای ميز محاكمه بكشاند. 2 او به قضات اين جهان میگويد: «تا به كی با بیانصافی قضاوت خواهيد كرد؟ تا به كی از مجرمين جانبداری خواهيد نمود؟ 3 از حقوق بيچارگان و يتيمان دفاع كنيد؛ به داد مظلومان و فقيران برسيد. 4 ستمديدگان و درماندگان را از چنگ ظالمان برهانيد. 5 اما شما به حماقت رفتار مینماييد و در جهل و تاريكی زندگی میكنيد، به همين جهت اساس اجتماع متزلزل است. 6 من شما را ”خدايان“ خواندم و لقب ”فرزندان خدای متعال“ را به شما دادم. 7 اما شما مانند هر انسان ديگر خواهيد مرد و همچون ساير رهبران خواهيد افتاد.» 8 ای خدا، برخيز و بر جهان داوری كن! زيرا تو همهٔ قومها را به تصرف در خواهی آورد.
