Psalm 46 | English Standard Version

God Is Our Fortress

1 To the choirmaster. Of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth.* A Song. God is our refuge and strength, a very present* help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. 5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. 6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. 7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. 8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolations on the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. 10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” 11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

1 خدا پناهگاه و قوت ماست! او مددكاری است كه در سختيها فوراً به كمک ما میشتابد. 2 بنابراين، ما نخواهيم ترسيد اگرچه زمين از جای بجنبد و کوهها به قعر دريا فرو ريزند، 3 دريا غرش نمايد و كف برآرد و طغيانش کوهها را بلرزاند! 4 نهريست كه شعبههايش شادمانی به شهر خدا میآورد و خانهٔ مقدس خدا را پرنشاط میسازد. 5 اين شهر هرگز نابود نخواهد شد، زيرا خدا در آن ساكن است. پيش از آنكه اتفاقی رخ دهد خدا به ياری آن خواهد شتافت. 6 قومهای جهان از ترس فرياد برمیآورند؛ حكومتها لرزانند؛ خدا ندا میدهد و دنيا مانند موم گداخته میشود. 7 خداوند قادر متعال با ماست! خدای يعقوب پناهگاه ماست! 8 بياييد كارهای خداوند را مشاهده كنيد. ببينيد در دنيا چه خرابيها برجای نهاده است. 9 او جنگها را در سراسر دنيا متوقف خواهد ساخت؛ كمانها را خواهد شكست، نيزهها را خرد خواهد كرد و عرابهها را به آتش خواهد كشيد. 10 «آرام باشيد و بدانيد كه من خدا هستم و در ميان قومهای جهان مورد عزت و احترام خواهم بود.» 11 خداوند قادر متعال با ماست! خدای يعقوب پناهگاه ماست!
