1“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.2Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? 1خداوند میفرمايد: «ای همهٔ تشنگان، نزد آبها بياييد؛ ای همهٔ شما كه پول نداريد، بياييد نان بخريد و بخوريد! بياييد شير و شراب را بدون پول بخريد و بنوشيد!2چرا پول خود را خرج چيزی میكنيد كه خوردنی نيست؟ چرا دسترنج خود را صرف چيزی میكنيد كه سيرتان نمیكند؟ به من گوش دهيد و از من اطاعت كنيد تا بهترين خوراک را بخوريد و از آن لذت ببريد.3«ای قوم من، با گوشهای باز و شنوا نزد من بياييد تا زنده بمانيد. من با شما عهدی جاودانی میبندم و بركاتی را كه به داوود پادشاه وعده دادهام به شما میدهم.4همانگونه كه او سرزمينها را تسخير كرد و قدرت مرا ظاهر ساخت،5شما نيز قومهای بيگانه را فراخواهيد خواند و آنها آمده، مطيع شما خواهند شد. من كه خداوند، خدای مقدس اسرائيل هستم اين كار را برای خودم خواهم كرد و به شما عزت و افتخار خواهم بخشيد.»6خداوند را مادامی كه يافت میشود بطلبيد، و مادامی كه نزديک است او را بخوانيد.7ای گناهكاران، از كارها و فكرهای فاسد خود دست بكشيد و به سوی خداوند بازگشت كنيد، زيرا او بسيار بخشنده است و بر شما رحم خواهد كرد.8خداوند میفرمايد: «فكرهای من فكرهای شما نيست، و راههای من هم راههای شما نيست.9به همان اندازه كه آسمان بلندتر از زمين است، راههای من نيز از راههای شما و فكرهای من از فكرهای شما بلندتر و برتر است.10«كلام من مانند برف و باران است. همانگونه كه برف و باران از آسمان میبارند و زمين را سيراب و بارور میسازند و به كشاورز بذر و به گرسنه نان میبخشند،11كلام من نيز هنگامی كه از دهانم بيرون میآيد بیثمر نمیماند، بلكه مقصود مرا عملی میسازد و آنچه را اراده كردهام انجام میدهد.12«ای قوم من، شما با شادی از بابل بيرون خواهيد آمد و با آرامش آنجا را ترک خواهيد گفت. کوهها و تپههای اطراف شما با شادی سرود خواهند خواند و درختان صحرا برای شما دست خواهند زد!13به جای خار و خس، درختان سبز و خوشبويی چون صنوبر و آس خواهند روييد. اين معجزه، يادبودی جاودانی خواهد بود از آنچه من انجام دادهام.»
