1DOAMNE, Stăpânul nostru, cât de măreț este Numele Tău pe tot pământul! Fie înălțată slava Ta mai presus de ceruri!**2Din gura copilașilor și a sugarilor ai întemeiat o fortăreață împotriva vrăjmașilor Tăi, ca să fie astfel reduși la tăcere dușmanul și răzbunătorul.3Când privesc cerurile Tale, lucrările degetelor Tale, luna și stelele pe care le‑ai întemeiat, îmi zic:4Ce este omul ca să‑Ți amintești de el și fiul omului ca să‑l cercetezi?5Tu l‑ai făcut cu puțin mai prejos decât Dumnezeu și l‑ai încoronat cu slavă și cu măreție.6L‑ai pus să stăpânească peste lucrările mâinilor Tale; i‑ai pus totul sub picioare:7oi și boi deopotrivă, chiar și fiarele câmpului;8păsările cerului și peștii mării, tot ce străbate căile mărilor.9DOAMNE, Stăpânul nostru, cât de măreț este Numele Tău pe tot pământul!
