1A Psalm of David. I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will make music.2I will ponder the way that is blameless. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house;3I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me.4A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil.5Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure.6I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me.7No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes.8Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.

1Voi cânta îndurarea și judecata. Spre lauda Ta voi cânta, DOAMNE!2Voi fi cu luare aminte la calea desăvârșită. Când vei veni la mine? Voi umbla în curăție de inimă, în mijlocul casei mele.3Nu voi pune înaintea ochilor mei niciun lucru de nimic! Urăsc lucrarea rebelilor; ea nu se va lipi de mine!4Inima pervertită se va depărta de mine. Nu vreau să cunosc răul!5Pe cel ce‑și bârfește semenul în secret îl voi nimici. Pe cel cu ochii trufași și cu inima îngâmfată nu‑l voi suferi.6Ochii mei vor fi asupra credincioșilor din țară, ca ei să locuiască cu mine; cel ce umblă pe calea desăvârșită îmi va sluji.7Cel ce săvârșește nelegiuirea nu va locui în casa mea; cel ce spune minciuni nu va sta în preajma mea.8În fiecare dimineață îi voi nimici pe toți cei răi din țară, ca să stârpesc din cetatea DOMNULUI pe toți aceia care săvârșesc nelegiuirea.
