1The oracle of the word of the Lord concerning Israel: Thus declares the Lord, who stretched out the heavens and founded the earth and formed the spirit of man within him:2“Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of staggering to all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem will also be against Judah.3On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth will gather against it.4On that day, declares the Lord, I will strike every horse with panic, and its rider with madness. But for the sake of the house of Judah I will keep my eyes open, when I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.5Then the clans of Judah shall say to themselves, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem have strength through the Lord of hosts, their God.’6“On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a blazing pot in the midst of wood, like a flaming torch among sheaves. And they shall devour to the right and to the left all the surrounding peoples, while Jerusalem shall again be inhabited in its place, in Jerusalem.7“And the Lord will give salvation to the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not surpass that of Judah.8On that day the Lord will protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them on that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the angel of the Lord, going before them.9And on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Him Whom They Have Pierced
10“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.11On that day the mourning in Jerusalem will be as great as the mourning for Hadad-rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.12The land shall mourn, each family* by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves;13the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the Shimeites by itself, and their wives by themselves;14and all the families that are left, each by itself, and their wives by themselves.

Gottes Schutz für Jerusalem
1Dies ist die Last, die der HERR ankündigt. Über Israel spricht der HERR, der den Himmel ausbreitet und die Erde gründet und den Odem des Menschen in ihm macht:2Siehe, ich will Jerusalem zum Taumelbecher zurichten für alle Völker ringsumher, und auch Juda wird’s gelten, wenn Jerusalem belagert wird.3Zur selben Zeit will ich Jerusalem machen zum Laststein für alle Völker. Alle, die ihn wegheben wollen, sollen sich daran wund reißen; alle Völker auf Erden werden sich gegen Jerusalem versammeln.4Zu der Zeit, spricht der HERR, will ich alle Rosse scheu und ihre Reiter irre machen, aber über das Haus Juda will ich meine Augen offen halten und alle Rosse der Völker mit Blindheit plagen.5Und die Fürsten in Juda werden sagen in ihrem Herzen: Die Bürger Jerusalems sind meine Stärke in dem HERRN Zebaoth, ihrem Gott!6Zu der Zeit will ich die Fürsten Judas machen zum Feuerbecken mitten im Holz und zur Fackel im Stroh, dass sie verzehren zur Rechten und zur Linken alle Völker ringsumher. Aber Jerusalem soll auch fernerhin bleiben an seinem Ort zu Jerusalem.7Und der HERR wird zuerst die Hütten Judas erretten, auf dass sich nicht zu hoch rühme das Haus David noch die Bürger Jerusalems wider Juda.8Zu der Zeit wird der HERR die Bürger Jerusalems beschirmen, und es wird zu dieser Zeit geschehen, dass, wer von ihnen strauchelt, sein wird wie David; und das Haus David wird sein wie Gott, wie der Engel des HERRN vor ihnen her.
Klage über den Durchbohrten
9Und zu der Zeit werde ich darauf bedacht sein, alle Völker zu vertilgen, die gegen Jerusalem gezogen sind.10Aber über das Haus David und über die Bürger Jerusalems will ich ausgießen den Geist der Gnade und des Gebets. Und sie werden mich ansehen, den sie durchbohrt haben, und sie werden um ihn klagen, wie man klagt um das einzige Kind, und werden sich um ihn betrüben, wie man sich betrübt um den Erstgeborenen.11Zu der Zeit wird große Klage sein in Jerusalem, wie die um Hadad-Rimmon in der Ebene von Megiddo war.12Und das Land wird klagen, ein jedes Geschlecht für sich: das Geschlecht des Hauses David für sich und die Frauen für sich, das Geschlecht des Hauses Nathan für sich und die Frauen für sich,13das Geschlecht des Hauses Levi für sich und die Frauen für sich, das Geschlecht Schimis für sich und die Frauen für sich;14so auch alle andern übrig gebliebenen Geschlechter, ein jedes für sich und die Frauen für sich.
