1Jag älskar Herren, för han har hört mina böner och besvarat dem.2Han har böjt sig ner och lyssnat till mig. Därför ska jag be till honom så länge jag lever.3Döden höll mig i sitt grepp, och gravens fasor gjorde mig förskräckt.4Då ropade jag högt till Herren: "Jag ber dig, rädda mitt liv!"5Herren är kärleksfull. Det han lovat, det håller han också. Vår Gud är full av barmhärtighet!6Herren beskyddar dem som är som barn och inte kan hjälpa sig själva. Jag var i fara och då räddade han mig.7Nu kan jag slappna av, för Herren har varit god mot mig.8Han har räddat mig från en säker död.
