1 ¡YHVH reina! ¡Regocíjese la tierra! ¡Alégrense la multitud de las islas! 2 Las nubes y densa oscuridad lo rodean, La equidad y la justicia son el fundamento de su trono. 3 Un fuego avanza delante de Él, Que abrasa a sus adversarios en derredor. 4 Sus relámpagos iluminan el orbe, La tierra mira y se estremece. 5 Ante la presencia de YHVH las montañas se derriten como cera, Delante del Señor de toda la tierra. 6 Los cielos hacen saber su justicia, Y todos los pueblos ven su gloria. 7 ¡Sean avergonzados todos los que sirven a imágenes talladas, Y cuantos se glorían en los ídolos! ¡Póstrense ante Él todos los dioses! 8 Lo oyó Sión y se alegró, Y las hijas de Judá se regocijaron, oh YHVH, A causa de tus juicios, 9 Porque Tú, oh YHVH, eres ’Elyón sobre toda la tierra, Infinitamente enaltecido sobre todos los dioses. 10 Los que amáis a YHVH, aborreced el mal, Él guarda las almas de sus santos, Las libra de la mano de los malvados. 11 Luz está sembrada para el justo, Y alegría para los rectos de corazón. 12 ¡Alegraos justos en YHVH, Y dad gracias a la memoria de su santidad!

The Lord Reigns

1 The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad! 2 Clouds and thick darkness are all around him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. 3 Fire goes before him and burns up his adversaries all around. 4 His lightnings light up the world; the earth sees and trembles. 5 The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. 6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory. 7 All worshipers of images are put to shame, who make their boast in worthless idols; worship him, all you gods! 8 Zion hears and is glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoice, because of your judgments, O Lord. 9 For you, O Lord, are most high over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods. 10 O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked. 11 Light is sown* for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart. 12 Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous, and give thanks to his holy name!
