1 Песен. Псалм на Асаф. Боже, недей мълча, не замлъквай, не бъди безмълвен, Боже! 2 Защото, ето, враговете Ти вилнеят и онези, които Те мразят, надигнаха глава. 3 Правят коварни планове против Твоя народ и се наговарят против скритите в Теб. 4 Казаха: Елате да ги изтребим като народ, за да не се споменава вече името на Израил! 5 Защото единодушно се наговориха, направиха съюз против Теб – 6 шатрите на Едом и исмаиляните, Моав и агаряните, 7 Гевал и Амон, и Амалик, филистимците с жителите на Тир; 8 и Асирия се присъедини към тях, станаха помощници на Лотовите синове. (Села.) 9 Постъпи с тях както с Мадиам, както със Сисара, както с Явин при потока Кисон, 10 които загинаха при Ендор, станаха тор на земята! 11 Направи благородните им като Орив и Зив, да, всичките им князе – като Зевей и Салмана, 12 които казаха: Нека си присвоим Божиите жилища. 13 Боже мой, направи ги като праха във вихрушката, като плява пред вятъра! 14 Както огън изгаря дърветата и както пламък запалва планините, 15 така ги гонѝ с урагана Си и ги уплаши с бурята Си! 16 Покрий лицата им с позор, за да потърсят Името Ти, ГОСПОДИ! 17 Нека се посрамят и ужасят навеки, нека се покрият със срам и погинат; 18 за да познаят, че Ти, чието Име е ГОСПОД, единствен си Всевишният над цялата земя!

1 God, don’t remain silent. Don’t refuse to listen. Do something, God. 2 See how your enemies are growling like dogs. See how they are rising up against you. 3 They make clever plans against your people. They make evil plans against those you love. 4 ‘Come’, they say. ‘Let’s destroy that whole nation. Then the name of Israel won’t be remembered anymore.’ 5 All of them agree on the evil plans they have made. They join forces against you. 6 Their forces include the people of Edom, Ishmael, Moab and Hagar. 7 They also include the people of Byblos, Ammon, Amalek, Philistia and Tyre. 8 Even Assyria has joined them to give strength to the people of Moab and Ammon. 9 Do to them what you did to the people of Midian. Do to them what you did to Sisera and Jabin at the River Kishon. 10 Sisera and Jabin died near the town of Endor. Their bodies were left on the ground like human waste. 11 Do to the nobles of your enemies what you did to Oreb and Zeeb. Do to all their princes what you did to Zebah and Zalmunna. 12 They said, ‘Let’s take over the grasslands that belong to God.’ 13 My God, make them like straw that the wind blows away. Make them like tumbleweed. 14 Destroy them as fire burns up a forest. Destroy them as a flame sets mountains on fire. 15 Chase them with your mighty winds. Terrify them with your storm. 16 LORD, put them to shame so that they will seek you. 17 May they always be filled with terror and shame. May they die in dishonour. 18 May you, the LORD, let your enemies know who you are. You alone are the Most High God over the whole earth.
