1 За първия певец. Псалм на Кореевите синове. По аламот. Песен. Бог ни е убежище и сила, винаги готова помощ във беди,

2 затова няма да се уплашим дори и да се поклати земята, дори и планините да паднат в морето,

3 дори да бучат и да се вълнуват водите му, дори да се тресат планините от надигането му! (Села.)

4 Една река – потоците ѝ ще веселят Божия град, святото място на обиталищата на Всевишния.

5 Бог е сред него – няма да се поклати; ще му помогне Бог на зазоряване.

6 Развълнуваха се народите, разклатиха се царствата; Той издаде гласа Си – земята се разтопи.

7 ГОСПОД на Войнствата е с нас, Богът на Яков е нашата висока кула. (Села.)

8 Елате, вижте делата на ГОСПОДА, който е нанесъл опустошения на земята!

9 Прави да престанат войните до края на земята, счупва лък и строшава копие, изгаря с огън колесници.

10 Млъкнете и разберете, че Аз съм Бог – ще се възвиша между народите, ще се възвиша на земята.

11 ГОСПОД на Войнствата е с нас, Богът на Яков е нашата висока кула. (Села.)

God Is Our Fortress

1 To the choirmaster. Of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth.* A Song. God is our refuge and strength, a very present* help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,

3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.

5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.

6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts.

7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolations on the earth.

9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire.

10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
