Moses prophetischer Segen über die zwölf Stämme

1 Und dies ist der Segen, mit dem Mose, der Mann Gottes, die Kinder Israels vor seinem Tod gesegnet hat.

2 Und er sprach: »Der HERR kam vom Sinai, und er leuchtete ihnen auf von Seir her; leuchtend erschien er vom Bergland Paran und kam von heiligen Zehntausenden her; aus seiner Rechten [ging] ein feuriges Gesetz für sie.

3 Ja, er liebt das Volk; alle seine Heiligen sind in deiner Hand; und sie lagern zu deinen Füßen, ein jeder empfängt von deinen Worten.

4 Mose hat uns ein Gesetz befohlen, ein Erbteil [für] die Gemeinde Jakobs.

5 Und Er wurde König über Jeschurun, als sich die Häupter des Volkes versammelten, als die Stämme Israels sich vereinigten.«

6 »Ruben lebe und sterbe nicht; seine Leute sollen zu zählen sein!«

7 Und dies ist [das Wort] für Juda; und er sprach: »HERR, höre auf die Stimme Judas und bringe ihn zu seinem Volk! Seine Hände seien mächtig für ihn, und hilf du ihm vor seinen Feinden!«

8 Von Levi aber sagte er: »Deine Thummim und deine Urim gehören dem Mann, der dir Liebe erweist, den du versucht hast bei Massa, mit dem du gehadert hast am Haderwasser*;

9 der von seinem Vater und von seiner Mutter sagt: Ich habe sie nicht gesehen!, und seine Brüder nicht kennt und von seinen Söhnen nichts weiß; denn sie haben dein Wort befolgt und deinen Bund bewahrt.

10 Sie werden Jakob deine Rechtsbestimmungen lehren und Israel dein Gesetz; sie werden Räucherwerk vor dein Angesicht bringen und Ganzopfer auf deinen Altar.

11 Segne, HERR, seine Kraft, und lass dir das Werk seiner Hände gefallen; zerschmettere die Lenden seiner Widersacher und seiner Hasser, damit sie nicht mehr aufstehen!«

12 Von Benjamin sprach er: »Der Liebling des HERRN wird sicher bei Ihm wohnen; Er beschirmt ihn den ganzen Tag, und zwischen seinen Schultern wohnt er.«

13 Von Joseph aber sagte er: »Sein Land sei vom HERRN gesegnet mit dem Köstlichsten des Himmels, mit Tau, und mit der Flut, die drunten ruht;

14 mit der köstlichen Frucht, die in der Sonne reift, und mit den köstlichen Früchten, welche die Monde sprossen lassen;

15 mit dem Besten der uralten Berge und vom Köstlichsten der ewigen Hügel

16 und vom Kostbarsten des Landes und seiner Fülle; und das Wohlgefallen dessen, der im Dornbusch wohnt, es komme auf das Haupt Josephs und auf den Scheitel des Geweihten unter seinen Brüdern!

17 Prächtig ist er wie sein erstgeborener Stier, Hörner hat er wie ein Büffel; damit stößt er die Völker nieder, sie alle, [bis an] die Enden der Erde. Das sind die Zehntausende von Ephraim, und das sind die Tausende von Manasse!«

18 Und über Sebulon sprach er: »Freue dich, Sebulon, über deinen Auszug, und du, Issaschar, über deine Zelte!

19 Sie werden Völker auf den Berg rufen; dort werden sie Opfer der Gerechtigkeit opfern, denn den Reichtum des Meeres werden sie saugen und die verborgenen Schätze des Sandes.«

20 Und über Gad sprach er: »Gepriesen sei, der Gad Raum schafft! Wie eine Löwin legt er sich nieder und zerreißt Arm und Scheitel.

21 Und er ersah sich das beste Stück; denn dort lag das Teil eines Anführers bereit; und er kam an die Spitze des Volkes, vollstreckte die Gerechtigkeit des HERRN und seine Gerichte, vereint mit Israel.«

22 Und über Dan sprach er: »Dan ist ein junger Löwe, der aus Baschan hervorspringt.«

23 Und über Naphtali sprach er: »Naphtali ist gesättigt mit Wohlgefallen und voll vom Segen des HERRN; Westen und Süden nehme er in Besitz!«

24 Und über Asser sprach er: »Asser ist mit Söhnen gesegnet; er sei der Liebling seiner Brüder und tauche seinen Fuß in Öl!

25 Deine Schuhe sollen von Eisen und Erz sein, und wie deine Tage, so sei deine Kraft!

26 Niemand ist gleich dem Gott Jeschuruns, der zu deiner Hilfe am Himmel einherfährt und auf den Wolken in seiner Majestät.

27 Eine Zuflucht ist [dir] der Gott der Urzeit, und unter dir sind ewige Arme. Er hat den Feind vor dir her gejagt und zu dir gesagt: Vertilge!«

28 »Und so kann Israel sicher wohnen, abgesondert der Quell Jakobs, in einem Land voll Korn und Most; und sein Himmel träufelt Tau.

29 Wohl dir, Israel! Wer ist dir gleich, du Volk, das durch den HERRN gerettet ist? Er ist dein hilfreicher Schild und dein siegreiches Schwert. Deine Feinde werden dir Ergebung heucheln, du aber sollst über ihre Höhen hinwegschreiten!«

1 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.

2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

3 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.

4 Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.

5 And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.

6 Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.

7 And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.

8 And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;

9 Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.

10 They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.

11 Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.

12 And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.

13 And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,

14 And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,

15 And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,

16 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.

17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

18 And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.

19 They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.

20 And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.

21 And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.

22 And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion' whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.

23 And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south.

24 And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.

25 Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be .

26 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.

27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them .

28 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.

29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
