1Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”2So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful sores came upon the people who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.3The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing died that was in the sea.4The third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they became blood.5And I heard the angel in charge of the waters* say, “Just are you, O Holy One, who is and who was, for you brought these judgments.6For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. It is what they deserve!”7And I heard the altar saying, “Yes, Lord God the Almighty, true and just are your judgments!”8The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire.9They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed* the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory.10The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish11and cursed the God of heaven for their pain and sores. They did not repent of their deeds.12The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east.13And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs.14For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.15(“Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”)16And they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.
The Seventh Bowl
17The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”18And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings,* peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake.19The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered Babylon the great, to make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath.20And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found.21And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds* each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.

1آنگاه از جايگاه مقدس صدايی بلند شنيدم كه به آن هفت فرشته میگفت: «برويد و هفت جام غضب خدا را بر زمين خالی كنيد.»2پس فرشتهٔ اول بيرون رفت و وقتی جام خود را بر زمين خالی كرد، در بدن كسانی كه نشان آن جانور خبيث را داشتند و مجسمهاش را پرستش میكردند، زخمهايی دردناک و وحشتناک بوجود آمد.3فرشتهٔ دوم جامش را در دريا ريخت و آب دريا مثل خون مرده شد، و تمام جانوران دريايی مردند.4سپس فرشتهٔ سوم جام خود را بر رودخانهها و چشمهها ريخت و آب آنها به خون تبديل شد.5آنگاه شنيدم كه اين فرشته كه فرشتهٔ آبها بود، میگفت: «ای خدای پاک كه هستی و بودی، اين مردم سزاوار چنين مجازاتی هستند،6زيرا خلق تو و انبيا را كشتند و زمين را با خونشان رنگين ساختند. حال، زمان آن است كه خون ايشان را بريزی، چون سزای ايشان همين است.»7آنگاه صدايی از قربانگاه شنيدم كه میگفت: «بله، ای خداوند، ای خدای توانا، تو از روی حق و عدل داوری و مجازات میكنی.»8سپس فرشتهٔ چهارم جامش را روی خورشيد خالی كرد تا خورشيد با آتش خود همه را بسوزاند.9پس همه از آن حرارت شديد سوختند. اما به جای اين كه از افكار و رفتار بد خود دست بكشند و خدا را جلال دهند، به سبب اين بلاها به او كفر میگفتند.10فرشتهٔ پنجم جامش را بر تخت آن جاندار خبيث ريخت، به طوری كه تاج و تخت او در تاريكی فرو رفت، و دار و دستهٔ او از شدت درد، لبهای خود را میگزيدند.11ايشان نيز از درد زخمهای خود، به خدای آسمان كفر گفتند و از رفتار بد خود دست نكشيدند.12فرشتهٔ ششم جامش را بر رودخانهٔ بزرگ فرات خالی كرد و آب رودخانه خشک شد، به طوری كه پادشاهان مشرق زمين توانستند نيروهای خود را بدون برخورد با مانع به سوی غرب ببرند.13در اين هنگام، ديدم كه سه روح ناپاک به شكل قورباغه، از دهان اژدها و آن جاندار خبيث و پيامبر دروغين بيرون آمدند.14اين روحهای ناپاک كه میتوانند معجزه نيز بكنند، به سراغ تمام فرمانروايان جهان رفتند تا در آن روز عظيم داوری خدا، آنها را به ضد خداوند وارد جنگ كنند.15حال، به آنچه عيسی مسيح میگويد توجه كنيد: «مانند دزد، زمانی كه منتظر نيستيد میآيم! خوشا به حال كسی كه برای بازگشت من آماده است و لباس خود را نگاه میدارد مبادا برهنه راه رود و رسوا شود.»16آنگاه تمام لشكرهای جهان را در محلی گرد آوردند كه به زبان عبری آن را«حارمجدون» (يعنی«كوه مجدو») مینامند.17فرشتهٔ هفتم نيز جامش را در هوا خالی كرد. آنگاه از تخت، از جايگاه مقدس آسمان، صدايی بلند شنيدم كه میگفت: «همه چيز به پايان رسيد!»18در آن هنگام، چنان رعد و برق و زمين لرزهٔ شديدی شد كه در تاريخ بشر سابقه نداشت.19شهر بزرگ بابِل نيز سه قسمت گرديد و ساير شهرهای دنيا هم به صورت تودههای پاره سنگ درآمدند. به اين ترتيب، خدا از گناهان بابل چشمپوشی نكرد، بلكه جام غضب خود را تا آخرين قطره، به او نوشانيد؛20جزيرهها ناپديد و كوهها زير و رو شدند؛21تگرگ وحشتناكی بر سر مردم باريد، تگرگی كه هر دانهٔ آن پنجاه كيلو بود! و مردم برای اين بلای وحشتناک به خدا كفر و ناسزا گفتند.
