1 “Bezalel and Oholiab and every craftsman in whom the Lord has put skill and intelligence to know how to do any work in the construction of the sanctuary shall work in accordance with all that the Lord has commanded.” 2 And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every craftsman in whose mind the Lord had put skill, everyone whose heart stirred him up to come to do the work. 3 And they received from Moses all the contribution that the people of Israel had brought for doing the work on the sanctuary. They still kept bringing him freewill offerings every morning, 4 so that all the craftsmen who were doing every sort of task on the sanctuary came, each from the task that he was doing, 5 and said to Moses, “The people bring much more than enough for doing the work that the Lord has commanded us to do.” 6 So Moses gave command, and word was proclaimed throughout the camp, “Let no man or woman do anything more for the contribution for the sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing, 7 for the material they had was sufficient to do all the work, and more. 8 And all the craftsmen among the workmen made the tabernacle with ten curtains. They were made of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet yarns, with cherubim skillfully worked. 9 The length of each curtain was twenty-eight cubits,* and the breadth of each curtain four cubits. All the curtains were the same size. 10 He* coupled five curtains to one another, and the other five curtains he coupled to one another. 11 He made loops of blue on the edge of the outermost curtain of the first set. Likewise he made them on the edge of the outermost curtain of the second set. 12 He made fifty loops on the one curtain, and he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that was in the second set. The loops were opposite one another. 13 And he made fifty clasps of gold, and coupled the curtains one to the other with clasps. So the tabernacle was a single whole. 14 He also made curtains of goats’ hair for a tent over the tabernacle. He made eleven curtains. 15 The length of each curtain was thirty cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits. The eleven curtains were the same size. 16 He coupled five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves. 17 And he made fifty loops on the edge of the outermost curtain of the one set, and fifty loops on the edge of the other connecting curtain. 18 And he made fifty clasps of bronze to couple the tent together that it might be a single whole. 19 And he made for the tent a covering of tanned rams’ skins and goatskins. 20 Then he made the upright frames for the tabernacle of acacia wood. 21 Ten cubits was the length of a frame, and a cubit and a half the breadth of each frame. 22 Each frame had two tenons for fitting together. He did this for all the frames of the tabernacle. 23 The frames for the tabernacle he made thus: twenty frames for the south side. 24 And he made forty bases of silver under the twenty frames, two bases under one frame for its two tenons, and two bases under the next frame for its two tenons. 25 For the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, he made twenty frames 26 and their forty bases of silver, two bases under one frame and two bases under the next frame. 27 For the rear of the tabernacle westward he made six frames. 28 He made two frames for corners of the tabernacle in the rear. 29 And they were separate beneath but joined at the top, at the first ring. He made two of them this way for the two corners. 30 There were eight frames with their bases of silver: sixteen bases, under every frame two bases. 31 He made bars of acacia wood, five for the frames of the one side of the tabernacle, 32 and five bars for the frames of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the frames of the tabernacle at the rear westward. 33 And he made the middle bar to run from end to end halfway up the frames. 34 And he overlaid the frames with gold, and made their rings of gold for holders for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold. 35 He made the veil of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen; with cherubim skillfully worked into it he made it. 36 And for it he made four pillars of acacia and overlaid them with gold. Their hooks were of gold, and he cast for them four bases of silver. 37 He also made a screen for the entrance of the tent, of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, embroidered with needlework, 38 and its five pillars with their hooks. He overlaid their capitals, and their fillets were of gold, but their five bases were of bronze.

1 Así pues, Bezaleel y Oholiab, y todo aquel artesano hábil, a quienes YHVH había dotado de habilidad e inteligencia para saber hacer toda obra para el servicio del Santuario, hicieron según todo lo que YHVH había ordenado. 2 Y Moisés llamó a Bezaleel, a Oholiab y a todo artesano hábil, en cuyo corazón YHVH había puesto sabiduría, a todo aquel cuyo corazón le impulsaba a acercarse a la obra para hacerla, 3 y en presencia de Moisés recogieron toda la ofrenda que los hijos de Israel habían llevado para la obra del servicio del Santuario, a fin de realizarla. Y siguieron llevando la ofrenda voluntaria mañana tras mañana. 4 Tanto así, que todos los peritos que hacían toda la obra del Santuario, dejando cada uno la obra que hacía, 5 fueron a Moisés, y dijeron: El pueblo trae mucho más de lo que es necesario para el servicio de la obra que YHVH ha ordenado que se haga. 6 Entonces Moisés dio orden, y pregonaron por el campamento, diciendo: ¡Ni hombre ni mujer prepare más material para las ofrendas del Santuario! Y así se impidió al pueblo ofrecer más, 7 pues había material suficiente para hacer toda la obra, y aún sobraba. 8 Todos los hábiles artesanos entre los que hacían la obra, hicieron el Tabernáculo. De diez cortinas de torzal de lino fino, azul, púrpura y carmesí. Las hizo con querubines, como obra de hábil artífice. 9 La longitud de cada cortina era de veintiocho codos, y la anchura de cuatro codos. Todas las cortinas tenían una misma medida. 10 Y unió las cinco cortinas una a otra, y las otras cinco cortinas unió una a otra. 11 E hizo unas presillas de azul en la orilla de una cortina, la del extremo, en la juntura. Así hizo en la orilla de la otra cortina, la del otro extremo, en la juntura de la segunda. 12 Hizo cincuenta presillas en una cortina, e hizo cincuenta presillas en la cortina que está en la juntura de la segunda. Las presillas se correspondían unas con otras. 13 Hizo también cincuenta corchetes de oro, y con los corchetes enlazó las cortinas una a la otra, y el Tabernáculo llegó a ser uno. 14 Hizo asimismo cortinas de pelo de cabra para formar una tienda sobre el Tabernáculo, hizo once cortinas. 15 La longitud de cada cortina era de treinta codos, y la anchura de cuatro codos. Las once cortinas tenían una misma medida. 16 Y unió las cinco cortinas por una parte y seis cortinas por otra parte. 17 E hizo cincuenta presillas en la orilla de la última cortina, en la juntura, y otras cincuenta presillas en la orilla de la otra cortina, en la segunda juntura. 18 Luego hizo cincuenta corchetes de bronce para unir la Tienda, de modo que fuera una. 19 Y para la Tienda, hizo una cubierta de pieles de carneros enrojecidas, y una cubierta de pieles de tejones por encima. 20 Hizo además los tablones de madera de acacia erguidos para el Tabernáculo. 21 La longitud de cada tablón era de diez codos, y la anchura, de codo y medio. 22 Cada tablón tenía dos espigas para ser unidas la una con la otra. Esto hizo con todos los tablones del Tabernáculo. 23 Así hizo los tablones para el Tabernáculo: veinte tablones al sur, hacia el mediodía. 24 E hizo cuarenta basas de plata debajo de los veinte tablones: dos basas debajo de un tablón para sus dos espigas, y dos basas debajo del otro tablón para sus dos espigas. 25 Y para el segundo lado del Tabernáculo, el lado norte, hizo veinte tablones 26 con cuarenta basas de plata: dos basas debajo de un tablón, y dos basas debajo del otro tablón. 27 Y para el lado posterior del Tabernáculo, al occidente, hizo seis tablones. 28 Y para las esquinas del Tabernáculo en los dos extremos hizo dos tablones, 29 los cuales eran dobles por abajo, trabados hacia arriba hasta la primera argolla. Así hizo el uno y el otro para las dos esquinas. 30 Eran, pues, ocho tablones, y sus basas de plata, dieciséis: dos basas debajo de cada tablón. 31 Hizo también barras de madera de acacia: cinco para los tablones de uno de los lados del Tabernáculo, 32 y cinco barras para los tablones del otro lado del Tabernáculo, y cinco barras para los tablones del lado del Tabernáculo en la parte posterior, hacia occidente. 33 E hizo que la barra de en medio pasara por el centro interior de los tablones, de un extremo al otro. 34 Y cubrió de oro los tablones, e hizo sus argollas de oro, por donde habían de pasar las barras, y cubrió de oro los travesaños. 35 E hizo la cortina de azul, púrpura y carmesí, y torzal de lino fino. La hizo con querubines, como obra de hábil artífice. 36 Y para ella hizo cuatro columnas de acacia, y las recubrió de oro, con sus ganchos de oro, y fundió para ellas cuatro basas de plata. 37 E hizo una cortina de azul, y púrpura y carmesí, y torzal de lino fino, obra de recamador, para la puerta de la Tienda. 38 También sus cinco columnas con sus ganchos, y cubrió de oro sus ganchos y sus molduras, pero sus cinco basas eran de bronce.
