Zephaniah 3:4

English Standard Version

4 Her prophets are fickle, treacherous men; her priests profane what is holy; they do violence to the law. (Jer 23:11; Eze 22:26; Ho 9:7) 

New International Version

4 Her prophets are unprincipled; they are treacherous people. Her priests profane the sanctuary and do violence to the law. 

New International Reader’s Version

4 Their prophets care about nothing. They can’t be trusted. Their priests make the temple ‘unclean’. They break the law they teach others to obey. 

King James Version

4 Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
