40 The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him. (1Ch 5:20; Ps 11:1; Isa 31:5; Da 3:17; Da 3:28; Da 6:23; Ac 12:11)

40 The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him. 

New International Reader’s Version

40 The LORD helps them and saves them. He saves them from sinful people because they go to him for safety. 

King James Version

40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
