Proverbs 13:3

3 Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. (Pr 12:13; Pr 18:7; Pr 18:21; Pr 20:19; Pr 21:23; Jas 3:2) 

New International Version

3 Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.

3 Those who guard what they say guard their lives. But those who speak without thinking will be destroyed.
