4 “Take a census of the people,[1] from twenty years old and upward,” as the Lord commanded Moses. The people of Israel who came out of the land of Egypt were: (Nu 1:1) 

New International Version

4 ‘Take a census of men twenty years old or more, as the Lord commanded Moses.’ These were the Israelites who came out of Egypt: 

New International Reader’s Version

4 ‘Count all the men 20 years old or more. Do it just as the LORD commanded Moses.’ Here are the men of Israel who came out of Egypt. 

King James Version

4 Take the sum of the people , from twenty years old and upward; as the LORD commanded Moses and the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt.
