English Standard Version

13 These are the waters of Meribah,[1] where the people of Israel quarreled with the Lord, and through them he showed himself holy. (Ex 17:7; Nu 27:14; De 32:51; De 33:8; Ps 81:7; Ps 95:8; Ps 106:32) 

New International Version

13 These were the waters of Meribah,[1] where the Israelites quarrelled with the Lord and where he was proved holy among them. 

New International Reader’s Version

13 Those were the waters of Meribah. That’s where the Israelites argued with the LORD. And that’s where he was proven to be holy among them. 

King James Version

13 This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them.
