Numbers 19:9

English Standard Version

9 And a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and deposit them outside the camp in a clean place. And they shall be kept for the water for impurity for the congregation of the people of Israel; it is a sin offering. (Le 4:12; Le 6:11; Le 10:14; Nu 19:13; Nu 19:20; Nu 31:23; Heb 9:13) 

New International Version

9 ‘A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and put them in a ceremonially clean place outside the camp. They are to be kept by the Israelite community for use in the water of cleansing; it is for purification from sin. 

New International Reader’s Version

9 ‘A man who is “clean” will gather up the ashes of the young cow. He must put them in a place that is “clean”. The place must be outside the camp. The ashes must be kept by the community of Israel. They will be added to the special water. The water will be used to make people pure from their sin. 

King James Version

9 And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.
