16 I also persevered in the work on this wall, and we acquired no land, and all my servants were gathered there for the work. 

New International Version

16 Instead, I devoted myself to the work on this wall. All my men were assembled there for the work; we[1] did not acquire any land.

16 Instead, I spent all my time working on this wall. All my men were gathered there to work on it too. We didn’t receive any land for ourselves.
