56 But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled.’ Then all the disciples deserted him and fled. 

New International Reader’s Version

56 But all this has happened so that the words of the prophets would come true.’ Then all the disciples left him and ran away. 

King James Version

56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.
