English Standard Version

31 for he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise.” (Mr 8:31) 

New International Version

31 because he was teaching his disciples. He said to them, ‘The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill him, and after three days he will rise.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

31 That was because he was teaching his disciples. He said to them, ‘The Son of Man is going to be handed over to men. They will kill him. After three days he will rise from the dead.’ 

King James Version

31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.
