36 But overhearing[1] what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.” (Mr 5:35) 

New International Version

36 Overhearing[1] what they said, Jesus told him, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

36 Jesus heard what they were saying. He told the synagogue leader, ‘Don’t be afraid. Just believe.’ 

King James Version

36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
