English Standard Version

47 And that servant who knew his master’s will but did not get ready or act according to his will, will receive a severe beating. (De 25:2; Mt 11:24; Lu 12:40; Joh 15:22; Joh 15:24; Jas 4:17; 2Pe 2:21) 

New International Version

47 ‘The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. 

New International Reader’s Version

47 ‘Suppose a servant knows the master’s wishes. But the servant doesn’t get ready and doesn’t do what the master wants. Then that servant will receive a heavy beating. 

King James Version

47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
