38 Now as they went on their way, Jesus[1] entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. (Lu 19:6; Joh 11:1; Joh 11:19; Joh 12:2)

38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him.

38 Jesus and his disciples went on their way. Jesus came to a village where a woman named Martha lived. She welcomed him into her home.

38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
