Judges 9:46

English Standard Version

46 When all the leaders of the Tower of Shechem heard of it, they entered the stronghold of the house of El-berith. (Jud 8:33; Jud 9:4; Jud 9:49) 

New International Version

46 On hearing this, the citizens in the tower of Shechem went into the stronghold of the temple of El-Berith. 

New International Reader’s Version

46 The citizens in the tower of Shechem heard about what was happening. So they went to the safest place in the temple of the god named El-Berith. 

King James Version

46 And when all the men of the tower of Shechem heard that , they entered into an hold of the house of the god Berith.
