28 “Out of the window she peered, the mother of Sisera wailed through the lattice: ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the hoofbeats of his chariots?’ (2Sa 6:16; Pr 7:6)

New International Version

28 ‘Through the window peered Sisera’s mother; behind the lattice she cried out, “Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why is the clatter of his chariots delayed?”

New International Reader’s Version

28 ‘Sisera’s mother looked out through the window. From behind the wooden screen she cried out. “Why is his chariot taking so long to get here?” she said. “Why can’t I hear the noise of his chariots yet?”
