20 Did not Achan the son of Zerah break faith in the matter of the devoted things, and wrath fell upon all the congregation of Israel? And he did not perish alone for his iniquity.’” (Jos 7:1; Jos 7:5; Jos 22:18) 

New International Version

20 When Achan son of Zerah was unfaithful in regard to the devoted things,[1] did not wrath come on the whole community of Israel? He was not the only one who died for his sin.” ’ 

New International Reader’s Version

20 Remember what happened to Achan, the son of Zerah. Achan wasn’t faithful to the LORD. He took the things that had been set apart to the LORD in a special way to be destroyed. Didn’t the whole community of Israel experience the LORD’s anger? Achan wasn’t the only one who died because of his sin.’ 

King James Version

20 Did not Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the accursed thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Israel? and that man perished not alone in his iniquity.
