6 Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. (De 31:6; Jos 1:7; Jos 1:9; Jos 1:18)

6 Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them. 

New International Reader’s Version

6 Be strong and brave. You will lead these people. They will take the land as their very own. It is the land I promised to give their people of long ago.

6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
