English Standard Version

22 “She makes a sound like a serpent gliding away; for her enemies march in force and come against her with axes like those who fell trees. (Isa 10:34; Isa 14:8; Isa 29:4) 

New International Version

22 Egypt will hiss like a fleeing serpent as the enemy advances in force; they will come against her with axes, like men who cut down trees. 

New International Reader’s Version

22 The Egyptians will hiss like a snake that is trying to get away. A powerful army will advance against them. Their enemies will come against them with axes. They will be like those who cut down trees. 

King James Version

22 The voice thereof shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood.
