Haggai 2:13

English Standard Version

13 Then Haggai said, “If someone who is unclean by contact with a dead body touches any of these, does it become unclean?” The priests answered and said, “It does become unclean.” (Le 22:4; Le 22:6; Nu 19:22) 

New International Version

13 Then Haggai said, ‘If a person defiled by contact with a dead body touches one of these things, does it become defiled?’ ‘Yes,’ the priests replied, ‘it becomes defiled.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

13 So Haggai said, ‘Suppose someone is made “unclean” by touching a dead body. And then they touch one of these things. Does it become “unclean” too?’ ‘Yes’, the priests replied. ‘It does.’ 

King James Version

13 Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.
