22 The children struggled together within her, and she said, “If it is thus, why is this happening to me?”[1] So she went to inquire of the Lord. (1Sa 9:9) 

New International Version

22 The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, ‘Why is this happening to me?’ So she went to enquire of the Lord. 

New International Reader’s Version

22 The babies struggled with each other inside her. She said, ‘Why is this happening to me?’ So she went to ask the LORD what she should do. 

King James Version

22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.
