Genesis 2:24

English Standard Version

24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. (Ps 45:10; Mt 19:5; Mr 10:7; 1Co 6:16; 1Co 7:10; Eph 5:31) 

New International Version

24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. 

New International Reader’s Version

24 That’s why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife. The two of them become one. 

King James Version

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
