Galatians 5:1

English Standard Version

1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. (Joh 8:32; Ac 15:10; 1Co 16:13; Ga 2:4; Ga 5:13; Jas 1:25) 

New International Version

1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. 

New International Reader’s Version

1 Christ has set us free to enjoy our freedom. So remain strong in the faith. Don’t let the chains of slavery hold you again. 

King James Version

1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
