Ezekiel 1:24

English Standard Version

24 And when they went, I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of many waters, like the sound of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the sound of an army. When they stood still, they let down their wings. (Ge 17:1; Ps 29:3; Ps 68:33; Eze 43:2; Da 10:6; Re 1:15; Re 19:6)

New International Version

24 When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty,[1] like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.

New International Reader’s Version

24 When the living creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings. It was like the roar of rushing waters. It sounded like the thundering voice of the Mighty God. It was like the loud noise an army makes. When the creatures stood still, they lowered their wings.

King James Version

24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
