Deuteronomy 1:42

42 And the Lord said to me, ‘Say to them, Do not go up or fight, for I am not in your midst, lest you be defeated before your enemies.’ (Nu 14:42; De 31:17) 

New International Version

42 But the Lord said to me, ‘Tell them, “Do not go up and fight, because I will not be with you. You will be defeated by your enemies.” ’ 

New International Reader’s Version

42 But the LORD spoke to me. He said, ‘Tell them, “Do not go up and fight. I will not be with you. Your enemies will win the battle over you.” ’

42 And the LORD said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies.
