Acts 24:22

English Standard Version

22 But Felix, having a rather accurate knowledge of the Way, put them off, saying, “When Lysias the tribune comes down, I will decide your case.” (Ac 9:2; Ac 24:14)

New International Version

22 Then Felix, who was well acquainted with the Way, adjourned the proceedings. ‘When Lysias the commander comes,’ he said, ‘I will decide your case.’

New International Reader’s Version

22 Felix knew all about the Way of Jesus. So he put off the trial for the time being. ‘Lysias the commanding officer will come,’ he said. ‘Then I will decide your case.’

King James Version

22 And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.
