31 And even some of the Asiarchs,[1] who were friends of his, sent to him and were urging him not to venture into the theater. 

New International Version

31 Even some of the officials of the province, friends of Paul, sent him a message begging him not to venture into the theatre. 

New International Reader’s Version

31 Some of the officials in Asia Minor were friends of Paul. They sent him a message, begging him not to go into the theatre. 

King James Version

31 And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.
